"As a professor myself and a novice Final Cut Pro user, I can vouch for this product. I'm using Final Cut Pro to edit montages together for my film history class and I'm now doing it in a quarter of the time. The hint and tips section alone is worth the price of this video and eBook combo."

"This training changed my life. I was trapped in a 9-5 job before and decided it was time to freelance. I've always loved video editing but always felt like such an amateur. After learning the skills in this video series I was able to get a regular gig working in the broadcast industry. I went from making $40,000/year to making over $85,000/year in half the time."
- J. Paulsen, Missouri

"This training product is great for both people who have never touched an editing program or those looking for a step up from iMovie or Windows Movie Maker. If you're willing to spend the money to buy Final Cut Pro and an expensive Apple workstation, then I highly recommend spending a little extra on this expert educational experience."

ProVideoSchool.com FAQ

What experience level is this program intended for?

There is no set experience level that you need to be at to appreciate this video and eBook series. Whether you are a beginner who has never touched video editing software before, a novice with some experience in other software, an intermediate editor looking to get to the next level or an expert editor looking for new tricks or ways of doing things more efficiently (and breaking bad habits), this series is meant for you.

How is the HD Video Series + eBook Combo Pack Delivered?

Delivery of the Final Cut Pro Unleashed HD training video and companion eBook, Become a Final Cut Pro Expert In 1 Week, is entirely digital. After ordering you will be sent a link that allows you to download both the video series and the eBook.

What are the formats of the video series and eBook?

The Video series is presented in 720P HD as a Quicktime .MOV file. This allows for better-than-DVD resolution that you can have up on a second monitor while working with Final Cut Pro in your main monitor. If viewing on a PC, then you must download the free Quicktime player from Apple. The eBook is sent as a .PDF file that can be printed out if desired.

What version of Final Cut do I need to have?

You're not limited to needing one specific version of Final Cut to get nearly everything out of this series. The video has been recorded with the Final Cut Studio 2 user in mind (Final Cut Pro 6), but if you have a newer or older version nearly everything you learn will still apply. Also, if you have a Final Cut Express version most of what is taught in this series will still apply.

Why is your product not available as a DVD?

For three main reasons: #1 The limited resolution of the DVD format doesn't lend itself well to this type of training. We see HD digital delivery as the future. The digital file format we've used allows for much greater resolution and quality vs. DVD. This is important when showing software screen shots. #2 This allows for immediate delivery after you've purchased the product. No waiting around or paying extra for shipping. #3 This allows for the product to become more accessible to international customers, where the price of shipping and tariffs can be prohibitive. If you have the know-how and desire - you can still take the 720p quicktime file and burn to DVD. You can also print out the PDF and read offline if you wish.

What are the credentials of the trainer/author?

Our senior trainer Paul has received the Apple Certified Pro & Apple Certified Trainer certificates in Final Cut Pro 6. He's worked for a world-wide Nielsen-rated cable television network, completing over 80 original television episodes (travel, adventure, sports genre). He's also served as motion graphics designer and has completed countless television show opens, bumpers, teasers, promos, on screen graphics, and more. In 2007 Paul won a Telly award for the animated graphical open and bumpers for a highly rated sports show on the network. Paul has also directed short films, created corporate video tutorials and presentations for search giants, and has served as the director of photography for different projects including award winning music videos. In addition to his trainer's certificate from Apple, Paul has taught at the collegiate level at two institutions: John Paul the Great Catholic University in San Diego, CA and Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA - teaching classes ranging from web design, Flash, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects and Apple Motion. Needless to say, we've retained the best of the best to host this video series and write the book.

What is the size of the video file and do I need a high-speed Internet connection to download it?

The size for the full resolution 1280x720p video is approximately 950 Mb. On a high-speed Internet connection you should be able to download the file within 1-2 hours. On a slower speed connection this may take significantly longer. To combat this, we also offer bonus iPhone and iPad versions of the video that come in at smaller bitrates. These extra version cost nothing extra and they are yours to download instantly after purchase.
